The "Survey of Italian Households' Income and Wealth - 2006" covered 7,768 families, 19,551 individuals and 13,009 income holders. Of the 7,768 families, 3,957 are panel families, which also interviewed into the previous survey (or even in previous surveys) and the remaining 3,811 families were interviewed for the first time in this investigation. The questionnaire is divided into several sections, listed below: - Structure of the family: it includes the socio-demographic characteristics of the individual members of the household - Employment: earned income, employment characteristics, business sector of the individual components of the family - Payment instruments and forms of savings adopted by the family: opening a bank account, bank used and reasons for use, use and frequency of use of credit card, use of teller (cashpoint machine), knowledge and skills in financial issues, use of Internet to purchase goods and access to your bank account (just for a part of the sample) - Degree of satisfaction with their work, opinions on some aspects of their work (skills, ability to change jobs, educational qualifications appropriate to the work, etc...) (just for a part of the sample) - Methods of saving of the family: possession of bank and/or postal deposits, possession of government securities, bonds, joint stocks, stocks, etc...; amount and other information about debts of the family, requests for mortgage or loan in 2006 - Houses residence and other real estate held by the family: kind of use (ownership and rental), bank loan taken out to purchase the house, duration of the loan, rent, real estate evaluation, costs incurred for maintenance real estate property - Consumption: purchases and sales of goods made by members of the family in 2006, average monthly spending for all consumption and the only food consumption, children caring (baby sitter, nursery, etc...) - Insurance: life and health insurance, pensions and other forms of private savings insurance, damage insurance There is also an autonomous section of the questionnaire for each form of income received by the family: - Employee s: type of company they work for, hours of work, overtime, holidays, income received - Self-employment, family business, member of society: type of business, number of employees, hours of work, revenues and expenses resulting from its activities, value of the activity - Pensions: institution of the pension provider, type of pension received, the amount of pension - Other revenues: description of the other revenue available to the family
