Cumulative dataset of repeated questions from the series of the SJM survey cover the topic of political situation and evaluation of processes in society. It contains at least one questionnaire for the period form 1990 until 1998. The selection of questions was lead by the last, 1998 SJM survey, and includes the questions on the topic mentioned, which are repeated several times in that period. The particular SJM survey is included in the selection provided that extensive bloc of appropriate questions is contained there. Isolated replications of questions are therefore excluded from present review, which refers also to the international comparative series such as ISSP, WVS and Democratisation in eastern Europe that are part of the SJM survey. Available are international comparative data sets including Slovenia as a part. The present cumulative data set includes questions about the most urgent problems facing a country (open ended question), the attachment to the country, included is the evalua tion of the socioeconomic and political situation, self-assessed happiness. Next part replicates ISSP Role of Government batteries about government involvement in the economy, preferences regarding various areas of government spending, and what socio-economic tasks the government should be responsible for. There is a set of questions asking about the satisfaction with the living conditions, the personal income and with the state of democracy. The Slovene Politbarometer block borrowed some of the questions from the German Politbarometer series by the Forschungsgruppe Wahlen, Mannheim. It begins with the scale dealing with trust in democratic institutions and interpersonal trust. Next is the assessment about how efficient are state and government offices and the attitude towards European integration with the question if Slovenia would benefit from it and a sympathy rating of the significant parties. Self-classification on a left-right continuum, party preference and party inclination is given. Finally there is an opinion regarding different interpretations about conditions in Slovenia after the Second World War. Demographic section includes data about religious affiliation; religiousness, self-assessment of social class, housing situation and possession of goods ethnic affiliation of respondent, marital status, employment, superior function, education and occupation; size of household; household and personal income. Also encoded was region; rural or urban area; city size.
