"Topics addressed in this study include the most important issues for the government to address; ratings of political leaders and parties; favorite candidates for the 2004 presidential election; importance of issues related to the economy and jobs, and Iraq and the war on terror in deciding who to vote for; keeping troops in Iraq; the effect of the invasion of Iraq on respect for the United States and on the war on terrorism; Iraq's weapons of mass destruction and links to Al Qaeda; prices an d price control with a focus on prescription drugs; U.S. allies and friendly nations; and prestige ratings of various professions and occupations. Demographic variables include respondent's sex, age, employment status, educational status, disability status, origin or descent (Spanish, Hispanic, or Latino), race, self identified political party, political philosophy, number of individuals age 18 or over, between ages 13 and 17, and under age 13 who live in the household; presence of a disabled individual age 16 or over who lives in the household, household income, and number of voice telephone lines available at home."
