Its goal is to establish a comprehensive and accurate profile of the economics of the travel agency business, and of the influence of agents upon carriers, hotels, tour packagers, and travelers. Background information includes number of full and part time employees in the agency, pay procedures for employees, the gross dollar volume of bookings, type of business (i.e. retail, wholesale, or both), recruitment of new employees, and length of time under current ownership.
