This study aimed at systematically explaining how G. lemaneiformis respond to N deprivation.The G. lemaneiformis(strain 981 ) used in this study were obtained from Nan’ao Island cultivation field (116.5°E, 23.3°N), Shantou, Guangdong, China. G. lemaneiformis cultured grown in artificial sea water for 4 days before the onset of nitrogen deprived experiment with supplying nitrogen source. Continuously, the culture were distributed into two treatments. Lemaneiformis, N-replete treatment and N-deprived treatment, with the maintained light level and temperature at 21±1℃ for 20 days. During the experiment, We refresh the artificial seawater of two nitrogen treatments every two days. the transcriptomics were employed by Illuminia HiSeq 2000. The assembled transcripts contained 25937 Unigenes and 18329 were annotated and classified by Gene Ontology (GO).
