Gene expression of ductal (CFCs Sca1+CD49b+) and alveolar (CFCs Sca1-CD49b+) progenitors were compared. Ductal and alveolar progenitors were FACS sorted from mammary glands of 10 week old virgin female C57/Bl6 mice. Biological replicates (3 per each population) were generated and gene-level expression profiles were determined by hybridization to Affymetrix MoExon 1.0 ST arrays.
